22,000 undeclared pounds seized in Rinas! The second case within a few days

Customs structures during the control exercised in cooperation with the Border Police officers, seized a sum of 22,000 Pound in cash, which were undeclared at the Rinas Customs Branch.

According to the reports of the customs structures, during the control of the passengers of the airline Wizz Air with route Luton – Rinas, they found that the citizen with the initials D.T. in the suitcases had an undeclared amount of 22,000 pounds, which were seized as material evidence.

The structures carried out the first investigative actions for the criminal offense “Failure to declare money at the border and valuables” provided by Article 179.a of the Criminal Code.

According to the General Directorate of Customs, the tourist season increases the number of entrances and exits in our country and this makes our structures increase even more controls, especially at Rinas airport.

This is the second case within a few days that the customs structures, on the same line of travel, capture undeclared quantities of cash.
