7 companies excluded from public bids on grounds of infringements: PPA
Albania’s Public Procurement Agency has decided to exclude seven companies from participation in procurement procedures.
Referring to data made public by the institution, it turns out that the companies in question provide various services to contracting authorities in the cases when they have acquired the contracts.
Specifically, they are five companies operating in Tirana, one in Fier and one in Gjirokastra.
In its list, the Agency gives details on companies but not the reason why the latter were excluded by a term of one to three years of participation in the proceedings that are financed by public funds.
According to the law “On public procurement” there are five reasons for such a move against an operator.
First, if there is misinformation and delivery of documents containing false data for training purposes. Second corrupt actions.
Thirdly, penalties for offenses provided for by law; fourth, breach of contractual obligations on public contracts within the deadlines set in the procurement rules; and fifth when there is a final decision of the Commission of the Competition Authority for agreements in the bids.
