70 large companies file lawsuits against tax authority
The number of VIP companies that have sued the tax authority in court has reached 70 in October.
The figure marks a slight decrease compared to the summer months when the number of lawsuits against the Large Taxpayer Unit was over 80.
And yet, in collision with taxes there are currently some of the largest companies in the country.
They are asking the Court to abolish salted fines amounting to millions of ALL, or to reimburse unduly levied duties from the tax authority.
Controversial penalties in some cases amount to up to 100,000 dollars.
October also marks a slight decrease in the total number of businesses that have sued the tax administration in the courts.
Currently there are a total of 396 lawsuits against the tax administration, from 426 in the summer months.
