Albania-Hungary trade exchanges rose by 11% in 2016: Forum
Trade exchanges between Hungary and Albania increased by 11 percent in 2016 compared with a year ago.
This fact was announced by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development Adela Karapici during the Hungary-Albania economic forum.
Hungarian Minister of State for Economic Diplomacy Levente Magyar praised bilateral relations between the two countries.
Magyar said that Hungary will support Albania’s EU integration, and he also stressed the fact that the two countries should continue their economic cooperation, noting that Albania and Hungary carry out trade exchanges at hundreds of millions of euros.
While addressing the Forum, Transport Minister Sokol Dervishaj said that the water supply situation in Albania has improved significantly.
According to Dervishaj, in four years, the country invested 200 million euros in the water supply system.
Five cooperation and understanding agreements were signed between the two countries during the forum held in Tirana.
One of the agreement covers consumer safety and supervision of markets through the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce, which was opened only a few days ago in Tirana.
