Albania-Kosovo co-operation, exchange of doctors between the two countries
Kosovo doctors will now offer specialized service in Albania in border areas. The 3-year agreement between the two countries in the field of health is signed today by the Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu and his counterpart, Uran Ismaili.
The agreement provides the exchange of doctors in order to improve the health structures of our two countries. Further, the agreement also includes cooperation in the field of public health, pharmaceuticals, training of health professionals, etc.
For the purposes of this Agreement, the Parties shall take action plans for cooperation in the field of health and medical sciences, which shall contain the activities provided in Agreement.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Albania and the Ministry of Health of Kosovo, based on this agreement, will set up a Joint Monitoring and Coordination Committee for the purpose of assessing priorities within the framework of cooperation between the two countries.
