Kosovo President Hashim Thaci said that the two countries need to strengthen their more cooperation, and on this day “we should appreciate the sacrifice of heroes that made independence possible”.
President Ilir Meta said that Skanderbeg Year should serve to strengthen the sense of patriotism among Albanian youth and to work in improving the country’s image for an EU future.
It is expected that with the start of the year devoted to the national hero Gjergj Kastriot Skënderbeu the country will have a very busy calendar of activities and will also see the opening of several new museums.
