Albania-Montenegro railway project to be ready by 2030
Improving rail infrastructure in the Balkans is one of the main objectives of the European Union for the coming years.
And this, especially for countries under bad economic conditions.
In support of this objective, the EU will contribute to the reconstruction of the railroad between Montenegro and Albania, a project that will strengthen common opportunities through increased passenger and freight flows.
The statement published in the newspaper Vijesti came directly from the secretary of state at the Montenegrin Ministry of Transport, Angelina Zivkovic.
According to her, the project should be completed by 2030 with the Montenegrin railroad which requires 35 million euros, as well as for modernization of the one on the Albanian side, which requires around 150 million euros.
