Albania progresses again in economic freedom – The Fraser Institute: 26th place in the world, 6th for ALL stability

The Fraser Institute has published the 2020 report on economic freedom, which is one of the most prestigious reports globally in this regard. According to this year’s report, Albania is ranked 26th in the world, among 162 economies, being one of the countries with the best performance in the world in this regard. On the other hand, this year’s ranking translates into a 4-position improvement in the global ranking, as a year ago it was ranked 30th in the world.

Compared to other countries in the region, Albania is the first among them. Albania is even better in ranking than countries like Finland, Norway, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Belgium or France, to name a few. The calculation of the economic freedom index is done on the basis of several different sub-indicators. Albania records the best performance in terms of money stability, ranking 6th in the world, from 14th a year ago.
