Albania’s HICP falls to 3.4% for May
The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) in May is estimated at 3.4 per cent down from 3.6 per cent estimated in April.
The news has been confirmed by the Institute of Statistics through a press release to the media.
“This change is largely influenced by the annual increase in prices of “Food and non-alcoholic beverages” by 7.4%, followed by groups “Miscellaneous goods and services” by 3.1%, “Recreation and culture” by 2.4%, “Transport” by 2.3%,” reads the press release.
Meanwhile, INSTAT stresses that the prices of “Clothing and footwear” group decreased by 2.0%, followed by “home furniture and maintenance” with 1.2%.
In May 2017 monthly change measured by the The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) was -1.6%. This change is mainly influenced by the decrease in prices of “Food and beverages”
