An analysis / What has happened with COVID-19 in Albania, day after day, in these 3 weeks? Tendency of cases, cures and losses

From March 9, 2020 to the present day, the number of people confirmed with COVID-19 has increased significantly, however the upward trend appears to be at controlled levels with no outbreak so far.

Since the confirmation of the first two cases on March 9, so far the number has reached 223. It should be noted that the strategy pursued by the country’s health authorities is to break the chain of infection and epidemiological investigation.

So the strategy followed is not that of mass testing but that of suspected cases, and once the case is confirmed, then the investigation is made into the contacts the person has had and subsequently tests and quarantine the persons so that the infection does not spread further.

On the other hand, a number of measures have been taken which affect the inhibition of the spread of the virus, preventing crowding and free movement.

Even infections and health authorities themselves admit that the figure for people with COVID-19 may be higher in the population as many people can pass without symptoms or with very mild symptoms.
