Another loan of 180 million Euros from the EU – Soft interest loan 0.5%, will be used to finance the budget deficit

Albania will benefit from the European Union a loan of 180 million euros to cope with the effects of the Pandemic on the Economy. The terms of the Agreement were approved this Monday in the Parliamentary Committee on Laws.

Deputy Minister of Finance Adela Xhemali explained that this is a soft loan with an interest rate of 0.5% which will be used to finance the budget deficit.

The loan will be disbursed in two tranches of 90 million euros, the second after Albania has met the conditions for association in the European Union.
