Appreciation of ALL resulted in ALL 3.6 billion less revenue in state budget
The appreciation of the Albanian Lek and the increase of the reimbursement size are two main reasons that have caused less revenue to be collected in the budget in the first six months of the year.
Minister of Finance and Economy, Arben Ahmetaj, stressed that the shock that has given the Lek’s appreciation to the state budget was around ALL 3.6 billion.
While offering a picture of the country’s economic performance for the first half of the year, Minister Ahmetaj informed the media that despite the decline of the euro, customs revenues were reported at ALL 3.3 billion more.
Ahmetaj also spoke about fiscal incentives for businesses, stressing that another package is expected in autumn with the aim to support entrepreneurship.
Some fiscal laws that alleviate the burden on businesses and promote their development are expected to be voted in parliament next week.
