BoA postpones pandemic measures – Until March 31 the loan relief will be secured, dividend distribution suspended until the end of the year

At the last meeting, the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania has decided to postpone some of the measures taken as a result of the crisis caused by the pandemic. One of the measures, which is postponed until March 31 of this year is the way of classification and provisioning of restructured loans until March 31, 2021. “Thus restructured loans until March 31, 2021 can maintain the same classification and provisioning with those before the provisioning”- underlines the Bank of Albania in the decision of the Supervisory Council.

Even the date of entry into force of decision no. 53, dated 02.09.2020 “On some changes in the regulation” On risk management of large exposures of banks “is postponed to January 1, 2022. Another measure is that of the suspension of profit distribution for 2020 by banks, but also the realized profits for 2021. This measure will remain in force until December 31 of this year, has decided the supervisory council of the Bank of Albania.
