The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) informs all passengers affected by the cancellation of flights, as a result of measures taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19, that according to the provisions of Instruction no. 01, “On Compensation and Assistance to Passengers in the Case of Non-Admission to the Aircraft Board and Cancellation or Delay in Flight” :
- Are entitled to a new itinerary (a new ticket later) by the company
- Have the right to refund the full price of the ticket purchase by the company with which they cut the ticket.
“To qualify, in one of the ways outlined above, passengers must contact the airline by email / phone,” the CAA said.
In the event of non-response by the company, passengers are entitled to apply to the Civil Aviation Authority, as the authority competent to enforce the passenger rights instruction. The CAA, upon receipt of notification (advertising of a problem with one of the companies) by the passenger, shall immediately take the necessary measures to ensure that their rights are respected and shall keep each passenger informed of the status of their case. According to the report, the address to contact the authority is [email protected]. The CAA calls on all citizens to apply the preventive advice given by health authorities to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
