Consumer confidence registers a minimal increase – BoA statistics
The third quarter of the year, has brought an improvement of the Economic Sensitivity Index (ECI), as it reached the lowest historical level during the isolation period, April-June. The Bank of Albania indicator has thus increased by 23 points during the period July-September, to reach the value of 75.3 points, which continues to be below the average. “The performance of the Economic Sensitivity Indicator has been mainly influenced by the improvement of business confidence and to a lesser extent by the improvement of consumer confidence.
However, both the business confidence indicator and the consumer confidence indicator remain below the respective historical averages “, underlines the Bank of Albania. The consumer confidence indicator meanwhile increased by only 3.3 percentage points during the third quarter, which is the smallest increase among all other indicators. After the shock received in the second quarter, consumer confidence continues to remain below the historical average. Regarding the other 4 indicators, that of confidence, in industry, that in construction, that in trade and that in services, the growth is significant during the third quarter of the year, according to official data of the Bank of Albania.
