Credins Bank contributes to green spaces in Tirana – CEO Korkuti: Credins is committed in its contribution to the community
Credins Bank has responded positively to the call of the Municipality of Tirana to offer its contribution to the expanding green spaces in the capital.
Mayor Erjon Veliaj and Credins Bank CEO Maltin Korkuti participated in the planting of 150 trees, part of Tirana’s Orbital Forest project, at the National Lake Park.
Credins Bank CEO Maltin Korkuti said it is a duty for everyone to make a contribution to projects that benefit to the community.
Korkuti also emphasized that Credins Bank will continue to engage in other projects serving to the community.
“At the invitation of the municipality, today we are here participating in this very interesting project for the environment of our common city. Credins Bank today is present with 23 branches in the city of Tirana and it is normal for us to give our contribution for such projects. We are committed to be part of these projects that improve the quality of life in our city.”
On the other hand, Veliaj said that the planting of trees was done in an area that was recently a wasteland, but the project in the short term aims to transform the southern part of the ring into green spaces up to the Lake of Farka .
“I am glad that with these 150 trees, at a wasteland and an inert point, a toxin point with all the poisons of this neighborhood, and we are actually making it green today. After we have rehabilitated the terrain, we will continue with this spirit until we go up to the Lundra area where we meet there with the Lake of Farka. If we continue with this spirit, as the bank has shown today and as other companies that are involved – so far we have over 20 companies – we would like to go on during the whole year. I do not believe that there is a bigger investment than planting trees. These trees will be here when people will show their gratitude to the bank or to the municipality, or to the workers, or to those who made possible this ground for us.”
The Director General of Tirana Municipality’s Parks and Recreation Agency Blendi Gonxhe said that more than 3,000 trees were planted in just one year, but the project will continue to expand the green spaces in Tirana.
