DP Ministers resigning from duty, competences passing to vice ministers
All the technical ministers selected by the Democratic Party are expected to resign on August 17, 2017.
The news was confirmed for SCAN TV from sources from within the DP.
Thus, three months from the Rama-Basha agreement, the technical ministers are expected to withdraw from the country’s government, refuting any thesis for a major coalition between the SP and the DP.
The technical ministers were part of the deal which aimed to guarantee free and fair elections, but technical ministers stayed another two months after the election in order to draft the election report.
In the three months in government, the technical ministers never met with Prime Minister Rama, while the Secretary General of the Prime Minister was in charge of communicating with them.
Before resigning, some of the technical ministers had previously passed the competences to the respective deputy ministers: the Interior Minister, the Health Minister and the Minister of Finance.
