The opposition has urged the European Union to open Albania’s accession negotiations.
According to Democratic Party leader Lulzim Basha, everyone is aware of the problems that the countryis facing right now, but the international community should support the country.
In this way, the opening of negotiations will serve as an instrument for Albania to advance in its path.
The Chairman of the European Commission and Vice-Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Austrian Parliament Reinhold Lopatka said that they are in favor of opening negotiations with Albania.
While referring to the establishment of a migrants’ camp in Albania, Basha said that this is a decision that cannot be taken by a single person, implying Prime Minister Edi Rama.
