Eliminating trade barriers eyed before Kosovo-Albanian governments meeting
Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati held a meeting with his Kosovo counterpart, Behgjet Pacolli, with an emphasis on deepening cooperation between the two governments and eliminating trade barriers
“Kosovo for us is a strategic partner and we must deepen this relationship not just to hold a joint meeting, possibly within this year, but to eliminate all barriers that exist in the trade field. We have also discussed the need for the rationalization of human resources and resources in diplomatic representation,” Bushati said.
Pacolli in his speech said he hoped that in the future both ministries would work with a common approach.
“We need to have a common approach to future challenges both for Albania and Kosovo. In the future I strongly believe that we will work together not as two separate ministries, but the approach will be shared. We talked today to keep up the tradition with common diplomatic institutions as soon as possible. Free movement is a principle that has always been brought to my attention and with Rama and Haradinaj we will implement points by point.”
Regarding the meeting of the two governments, Kosovo Foreign Minister said it will be done very soon, as he himself proposes a meeting place: namely, Korça.
“We will reactivate our government meetings as well. You will soon know where the first meeting will be held. I proposed Korca, as I that city.”
