Employing IT graduates will give companies upper hand in public bids
At a time when the situation with call center operators in Albania is still creating panic due to the measures taken by Italy, the attention seems to be focused on expanding the possibilities for other outsourced services related especially to IT specialists.
But the encountered stalemate seems to be revolving around the lack of opportunities for young graduates who generally do not find open doors at businesses.
The latter prefer to hire employees with experience, thus renouncing training cost.
However, the Investment Council seems to have found a way for students and graduates to find new ways to create job experience.
One of the recommendations states that businesses that hire new graduates may have advantages in relation to state contracts.
The recommendation states that “training of IT specialists may be included in the terms of reference for internships in professions relevant to the tender won for a certain period of time.”
The Investment Council notes that the deadline for the implementation is in medium-term, leaving a gap of about one year to conceive how this kind of incentive will be given.
