Euro hits news record low in exchange rate with Albanian Lek
The common European currency has hit a new record low in the Albanian currency exchange rate.
The euro depreciation that started in March has reached today the ALL 124.7 rate, down by ALL 1 per unit compared to last week.
Since the beginning of the year, the euro has lost nearly 7% of its value.
Meanwhile, fluctuations today are down to ALL 124.3.
This decline is also borne out by international concerns over Italy’s new government plans to emerge from the euro.
The strengthening of the ALL is also reflected in the ratio it has today in the market against other major foreign currencies.
The US dollar, although is performing well in international markets, is sold at 106.6 Lek at domestic exchange points and sold for 107.5 Lek.
Even more pronounced is the fall in the British pound, which is already at the 142.3 lek rate, down 0.7 ALL compared to last week.
The pound has lost points despite recent data on the economy that showed increased production.
As for other currencies, the Australian dollar has not fluctuated and remains in the 81.2 ALL quota, while the Canadian dollar has lost 1.1 ALL per unit, reaching the 82.3 ALL quota.
The Swiss franc also declined, which today is exchanged for 107.8 ALL.
