Germany-Albania Development Cooperation marks 30 years with hundreds of projects in place

The German government has funded hundreds of projects in various sectors of the economy in Albania, thus becoming the largest donor to the Balkan country.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the German-Albanian Development Cooperation.

Over the last 30 years, Albania has been a beneficiary in capacity building in various fields such as energy, water supply and sewerage, agriculture, employment, etc. which have brought an improved standard of living to those Albanians that have benefitted from them.

“Party on the Road” was an event organized in the capital to celebrate the 30th anniversary of German-Albanian cooperation.

The beneficiaries of many projects have participated through their stands and their various products, expressing gratitude for the support Germany has provided for them.

In addition to the share of donations, sectors of economic cooperation between Albania and Germany are numerous, while German entrepreneurs have found large investment spaces in the country.
