How much electricity did Albania import and export in 2019? The statistics

The Institute of Statistics has published the electricity balance for 2019. Referring to the data, it results that there was a decrease of energy production by almost 40% from the hydropower plants in the country, which is reflected in the increase of energy import and the significant reduction of energy exports.

Gross imports of electricity (uptake) resulted in an increase to 3.177 GWh from 1,772 GWh in the same period a year earlier.

Gross electricity exports (electricity supply) resulted in a decline, reaching 770 GWh from 2.685 GWh in the same period a year earlier.
