Import of grain at historical low – The stock of April and May is enough for Albania
After the significant increase during the months of isolation as a result of the global pandemic, the import of grain in our country has experienced a significant decrease during June. Foreign trade data from the Institute of Statistics show that June is the month with the lowest imports of in history,
It is about only 607 million ALL imports, from about 1 billion in May and about 991 million in April. In annual terms the increase is fixed at 63%, and in monthly terms at 69.6%. Even in value, it is almost a record, as only in June 2005 and 2006 the value was higher. The significant decline in imports seems to be a direct consequence of the fact that during the quarantine months record quantities were imported, up to doubling during April.
