Integration / Summit of Zagreb to be held on Wednesday – A video conference will be held, affirming the European perspective
Despite the problematic situation created as a result of Covid-19, this year marks positive steps for the country’s integration. Diplomatic sources for RTV SCAN inform that the important summit of Zagreb, where the opening of negotiations with the European Union will be made official, for Albania and Northern Macedonia. The agenda of the discussions will emphasize the importance of the EU’s relations with the Western Balkans and the clear perspective of this region in the Union.
An important part will be the discussion on dealing with the crisis caused by Covid 19, where the EU and the Western Balkans will emphasize cooperation and solidarity in times of crisis. The summit will be attended by political leaders from six Western Balkan countries, including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, northern Macedonia and Kosovo. Council President Carls Michel will co-chair the work with European Council President Ursula Von Der Lejen.
