Investments in infrastructure and energy – How much money will be allocated for 2021?
49.8 billion ALL will be the budget of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy for 2021, experiencing an increase of 0.8 billion ALL from the initial version received in the Assembly for discussion. The document has already been published in the Official Gazette, while in terms of capital expenditures, the most funded program is that of road transport, where internal financing is provided in a value of 17.8 billion ALL.
For this program, foreign financing reaches the value of 6.9 billion ALL, while the second sector that seems to have priority during 2021 is that of water supply and sewerage. For this program, the state budget has allocated 6.5 billion ALL, while another 5.7 billion ALL are foreign funding. Urban waste management also receives a significant part of the budget, with a total funding of 3.7 billion ALL.
An important part of the budget is occupied by railway transport, with a value of ALL 1.7 billion, where the budget support is in the amount of ALL 400 million, while the rest is foreign financing. Meanwhile, budget support in terms of investments in the energy sector has passed into the background, given that the support for this program is 250 million ALL. In total, investments in energy amount to ALL 3.1 billion, as ALL 2.89 billion are foreign financing. The least funded program is the support for communication networks, as domestic funding is zero ALL, while foreign funding is 20 million ALL.
