Italy is a strategic partner with 3 thousand companies – Responsible for 50.9% of employment and 25.3% of sales of foreign companies

Italy continues to be one of the main partners of our country both in terms of the presence of its businesses, but also the volume of investments they bring with them. The latest report of the Institute of Statistics on Foreign Enterprises in Albania concludes that during 2019 Italian investments in Albania have doubled, while it ranks second after the Netherlands in terms of total stock.

According to the report, the Foreign Direct Investment Flow has increased by 5.2% in 2019 compared to 2018. For 2019, Italy has had the largest increase by almost 2 times while Switzerland the largest decrease by 44.6 %, compared to 2018. While the decline in investment flows have marked two other important partners such as Germany and Greece. At the end of 2019, EU countries accounted for the largest share of the Stock (55.3%), dominated by the Netherlands and Italy with 15.3% and 9.4% respectively.
