KESH achieves a profit of 4.5m euro due to recent rainfall

The profit of the Albanian Electricity Corporation KESH as a result of the sale of energy from 29 November to 18 December amounts to over 4.5m euros.

This amount is expected to be many times higher throughout December, as KESH has also opened another sales procedure for the period December 14 to 31, when it plans to sell an amount of 213,000 kWh.

Rainfall increased the influx of water to the Drin Cascade, and so far five energy selling procedures have been completed, affecting on the company’s revenue growth.

Of the 3 pre-sale operations, KESH secured about 2.2m euros, while in the fourth procedure the sale of 14,000 mwh provided about 705,000 euros.
The biggest profit was secured in the recent sale, which secured the company more than 1.7 million euros in revenue.

After a long period of drought, this is good news for the corporation, as the company’s 9 month balance sheet reported losses.

According to official data from KESH, for January-September, the company recorded a loss of ALL 4.2 billion, unlike the previous year, which marked a positive balance of ALL 1.7 billion.
