Klosi: Albania and Kosovo in co-operation to have joint tourist offer
Albania and Kosovo will have joint tourist offer.
Minister of Environment and Tourism Blendi Klosi and Minister of Trade and Industry of Kosovo Bajram Hasani agreed on a wider cooperation in this sector.
At the meeting in Prizren, Klosi said that they will work on building a strategy between the two countries to realize a joint bid including the Balkan countries.
“What lies ahead of us is that we have the opportunity to make a joint program between our two institutions that the administrative policies properly follow what the private business and civil society have realized.Therefore, by October a joint group will have the opportunity to prepare a common agenda and present it to the tour operators at a joint meeting to see not only the two sides of the mountain as a whole but to have a chance for joint offers in all Balkan region” – said Klosi
Also, Minister Hasani said that early in the autumn, will be the opening of the tourist season in Brezovica or Rugova, to attract as many tourists from the country and the region.
“We are for cooperation especially with the Albanian state, because there is scope for cooperation in the field of tourism as well. We talked to make the opening of the tourist season at beginning of the autumn season in Brezovica or Rugova and to give a message and invite all tourists to visit us and there is plenty of room for Albanian tourists too”- said Hasani
At their meeting, the ministers shared the latest developments of the tourist season in Albania, Minister Blendi Klosi said that the number of tourists has increased by 17 percent this July compared to the previous year, with an increase also in the number of tourists from Kosovo.
