Legalization of informal buildings to produce some $35m for former owners in three years

$35 million is the figure to be collected from the process of legalization of informal constructions in the next three years, which will be used for financial compensation of former owners in Albania.

SCAN has revealed government projections for 2018-2020 regarding this budget item.

In the year that just started, the government predicts to collect about $ 15 million from the transfer of construction plots in favor of unauthorized builders who legalize objects through ALUIZNI.

In 2019 and 2020, the government expected to collect some $ 10 million.

In total, over the next three years, 136 million dollars from the state budget will be used for the financial compensation of former owners.

In the newly approved 2018 Budget, the Council of Ministers has foreseen a fund of about $ 34 million.

The fund will mark a significant increase in 2019, which coincides with local elections.

For this year, the Government will put at the disposal of the compensation of owners about $ 49 million.

Growth will be more modest for 2010, when $ 53 million is foreseen for this purpose.
