Money growth in circulation slows down – Only 0.03% in September, reaches ALL 341.6 billion
The money supply ratio has increased quite slightly during September of this year, according to the latest data from the Bank of Albania. This level has reached ALL 341,585 billion, from ALL 341,481 billion that was in August of this year, increasing by only 0.03%. Before the pandemic, in February of this year, the level of money in circulation affected the figure of about 299 billion ALL. The massive injection of money into the system by the Bank of Albania to cope with the crisis, helping businesses and individuals with liquidity has caused that during the crisis period, the level of money in circulation to increase by at least ALL 40 billion.
September data signal a slowdown in the pace of money injection into the system by the Bank of Albania. The figure of 341 billion ALL, or about 2.76 billion euros of money in circulation in our country is the highest historical level.
