More financing for businesses – Denaj: There are more credit opportunities with the guarantee scheme

Small and medium-sized businesses require more access to credit in order to be able to overcome the difficult situation they are in due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Minister of Finance, Anila Denaj, has requested that bank guarantees be used for this purpose and that the traditional financing schemes be reviewed.

Agribusinesses, which find it very difficult to absorb the funds made available by the IPARD program, are facing the same difficulty, because they first have to make financing, which captures significant monetary values.

The forum “Access to Finance Policies, support for Albanian products”, has brought together policy makers, donors, banks and businesses in order to discuss ways to finance more businesses during this period.
