“One belt – one road” Forum: China, Albania sign MoU to boost economic cooperation
Albania and China signed a memorandum of cooperation during the forum for international cooperation “One belt – one road”.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed for the Albanian side by the Transport Minister Sokol Dervishaj and the Chinese Deputy Premier He Lifeng.
This memorandum contains 7 points: Strengthening economic cooperation in the field of transport, infrastructure and finances.
“Albania is an important part of this process. The Memorandum of Understanding marks a step forward in economic relations and the development of infrastructure between the two countries. We expect tangible investments from the Chinese side, such as in infrastructure, maritime and rail transport,” Transport Minister Sokol Dervishaj said.
The forum “One belt – one road” was attended by 27 senior representatives from different countries of the world, among them Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, Deputy UN Secretary, and IMF chief Christine Lagarde.
Albania was represented by the Transport Minister Sokol Dervishaj.
The main theme of the forum were multilateral cooperation, with a special focus on the economy and infrastructure.
