One third of business permits will be shortened: Deputy PM Mesi for SCAN TV
Simplifying administrative procedures and facilitating the business climate in Albania have become main targets of the government.
Deputy Prime Minister Senida Mesi in an interview with SCAN TV said that the reform in administrative services and especially the deregulation are positively affecting not only the public but have greatly alleviated the business climate in the country.
This reform has not only reduced bureaucracies, according to her, but has also helped in reducing corruption.
“In the context of business, entrepreneurs will see the elimination of many permits and licenses and authorizations. And where this is not possible, these permissions and licenses and documents normally have to exist, especially when it comes to safeguarding consumer, environmental, and life. And in these elements we will not cede.
“At other times, when a permit does not involve any risk, the market itself will make arrangements, and we are considering this thoroughly, and we are evaluating and identifying all the possible elements that might be repealed. We are eliminating 1/3 of permits, licenses and authorizations.”
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, in order to extend these services, the government intendeds to open around 15 ADISA offices all over the country, which is a “one stop shop” for all administrative procedures.
