Only in July charter flights brought 40 thousand tourists
Increasing the popularity of Albania as a holiday destination has increased the demand for flights to our country.
The number of passengers traveling on charter flights during July reached 79,311 people, which represents an increase of 42.5% compared to the previous year. This figure includes both incoming trips (40,721 passengers) and outgoing (38,590 passengers).
The increase is so big that the number of passengers reaches 23% of the total number of passengers traveling by air. In recent years, this ratio reached about 16% of the entrance to the Tirana International Airport.
In the absence of direct air lines, many tour operators or airlines set up periodic charter lines to send tourists to our country. Among the countries of origin with the largest group of charter passengers are Nordic countries such as Denmark, Sweden and Finland, where most passengers benefit the trip to the Apollo tour packages.
Through these flights thousands of tourists came from Israel, Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. Another reason for increasing charter flights is the outflow of Albanian nationals for holidays in countries like Turkey.
