Pandemic shrinks credit cards – BoA figures, for the first time in history their number falls in circulation
The pandemic has hit many aspects of our lives, radically affecting consumer behavior. One indicator that best illustrates this is the number of credit cards in circulation. The second quarter of this year marks the first time since the reporting of data by the Bank of Albania, that the number of credit cards in circulation is declining. Thus, in the first quarter 114,941 credit cards were registered, while in the second quarter of the year, this figure dropped to 112,749. The decline is fixed at 1.94%.
