Paperless governance: PM Rama states that customs agents will be removed by the end of March

The government has made an assessment of the work done in the last four months for cutting bureaucracies in the administration for citizens and entrepreneurship.

With the passing of a series of services to online, it has made possible to increase the speed in getting the services at the counters and lowering corruption.

Only by the bypassing of printed certificates in this period, Albanian nationals saved about 22 million ALL, according to government data.

Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that the modernization of services has the goal of keeping the hands away from the pockets of citizens and businesses.

According to Rama, the government will eliminate customs agents for exports as well as for imports by the end of spring.

For the Minister of Economy and Finance Arben Ahmetaj, the deregulation process has prompted a facilitation of procedures for entrepreneurship.

Meanwhile, at the end of March the documents that a mother needs to secure maternity leave will be provided online.

The deregulation process has also had positive effects on the business climate in the country, stated Minister of Entrepreneurship Sonila Qato.

A special importance in the process of deregulation has been devoted to the platform for co-governance with the citizens.

PM Rama has appealed to all citizens to denounce any official who abuses with his duty.

In this period there were about 2500 complaints that have been solved through the portal in question, while 35 mortgage employees have been prosecuted on charges of abusing with their duty.
