PM Rama asks IRPOs heads to offer their resignation
Prime Minister Edi Rama has requested the immediate resignation of the heads of local Immovable Property Registration offices whom he considered as blockers in the process of registering legalization permits.
The legalization process is facing again the cripple of non-registration at Immovable Property Registration offices.
At a meeting with the Head of Legalizations and with representatives of IPROs, a problem was again encountered, a problem which a few months prompted a legal change stipulating that the process of registration of legalization permits at the IPRO would be carried out by the Legalization Agency.
At this meeting, the prime minister announced that the removal of all the officials from their duty is only the first step.
We will establish the National Agency of Property Titles. Within this term, the property certificate will be enabled automatically through the National Digital Register of the property. Not for weeks, months and years, but within a few minutes”, Rama declared.
“We are far from reality and for the people’s needs this structure is very problematic”, Rama said.
He criticized the institution for reporting only 5100 untreated legalization permits, when the number of legalizations made by the Property Legalization Agency is much higher.
Rama left local Property Register Directors 24 hours time to resign with dignity.
