PM eyes economic growth at 5% in 2019 – Basha blasts Rama’s “victory of war on drugs”
After the second informal meeting of the new government ministers, prime minister Rama has posted a status on the Facebook social network where he states that they are ready for the new journey.
“Ready to start the new journey. A drastic alleviation of bureaucracy for citizens and businesses. A strengthening of services. Economic growth above 5% in 2019 “.
While referring to the creation of super-departments such as Customs and Immovable Property Registration Offices, Prime Minister Rama claimed that they are being established with aim to provide the highest quality service to citizens.
Rama made this statement during a working breakfast with reporters in the coastal area of Velipoja, where he presided the second informal meeting of the Rama 2 government.
Other points that Rama addressed during this conversation were tourism, the fight against cannabis, the transition of the Civil Emergency structure under the Ministry of Defense, and the increase of salaries for doctors who will work away from their homes.
After Rama’s statements, DP leader Lulzim Basha reacted in his Facebook profile: “The man who for three years denied the drug problem in Albania, blessing its transformation into the main drug country in Europe, suddenly declared that he has solved this problem. No one has been arrested, no narcotraffic head has been detected, no trafficking organization has been given a blow, no concrete result in any direction. But the prime minister has declared the victory of a war that has not happened.”
“Now that Albanian drugs and organized crime have become a political issue for European and EU governments, risking Albania’s integration and visa-free travel for Albanians, Edi Rama can no longer hide, so he has decided to accept and immediately announced the victory of the imaginary war against it.”
