Processed chrome, 3 years without royalties – Assembly votes on the government’s version “overthrow” the Committee on Economy
Regardless of whether the parliamentary Committee on Economy and Finance approved the exemption from the royalty tax for a period of 1 year for processed metals or not, in the plenary session the deputies voted the version of the government that requires zeroing of this tax for processed metals for a period 3-year-old. It was the MP Edlira Hyseni, who asked for clarifications on the version of the law that was being voted in the plenary session, as the accompanying report of the draft law did not match the discussions in the committees.
In parallel, the new law “On fiscal registration of hydrocarbons” was voted, while the Minister of Finance and Economy, Anila Denaj explained the main innovations.
Minister Denaj argued that the wording was made according to the recommendations of international institutions. Meanwhile, they do not affect subcontracting companies, which will continue to be subject to tax law.
