Proposals for six new HPPs filed at the Ministry of Energy
Applications for the construction of small hydropower plants are currently under way.
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy in the last days of October has received 4 requests for the construction of 6 new hydropower plants.
These proposed projects are in the area of Lezha, Shkodra and Korca districts.
Thus, Marjakaj sh.pk has applied to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy for the approval of the construction of three HPPs, namely Bena, Bena 1 and Bena 2.
The production capacity of the HPPs will be up to 2 MW and they are projected to be built in the basin of Bena River, in the Shkodra Region.
Meanwhile, the company Gjon Kalivaç sh.pk has applied for the construction of the Emanueli hydroelectric power plant in Lezha Region with a production capacity of 2 MW.
Applications for the construction of hydropower plants have also been presented for Korça area, where two applications have been sent to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy.
Thus, “Ervin Kita/Taverna Agolli” have applied for the construction of the Agolli hydroelectric power plant in Goce river basin.
Meanwhile, “Anesti Jaupllari/Eralda Intimo” have submitted their application for construction of the Empier Hydropower Plant in Korça.
The production capacity of both hydropower plants is 2 MW.
