Rama introduces “strict” measures! Government closes clubs, gyms / Tables 2 meters away and salary increases for nurses
At the second cabinet meeting, after the first cases of coronavirus in Albania have been confirmed, Prime Minister Edi Rama presented the new measures taken to prevent the outbreak of coronavirus.
As in neighboring Italy, pubs, clubs, gyms and indoors will be closed as a safeguard. As for restaurants and bars they will not be closed but will resettle their surroundings by placing tables with a space of two meters from each other.
The head of government also announced that doctors and nurses on the front lines of the “war” against coronavirus will be paid € 1,000 plus per month and € 500 plus will be given to sanitation and ambulance drivers. Administration workers who can do the work from home will take time off.
The head of the majority said there was expected to be an upward curve of infection in Albania, warning that restrictive measures could also come in handy.
Currently, if anyone endangers others, the government has provided a fine of up to 5 million ALL, but it is expected to see whether the punishment will increase depending on how the situation goes.
