Serbian businesses increase presence in Albania
Recently Albania has seen a higher interest from Serbian enterprises to expand in the country and to create partnerships with Albanian counterparts.
Last year, cooperation between the two countries in this area has increased by about 10 percent compared with a year ago.
This was confirmed by the President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Marko Cadez.
“Considering that I have been several times in Tirana in these 4-5 months, this tells a lot about relationships that the two countries have. During 2016, the cooperation has increased by 10 per cent compared with 2015, and this year we expect a twofold increase. Albania has made step forwards in removing barriers between two countries and we are trying to bring more investors. There is interest in different areas, such as infrastructure, food, energy and tourism.”
The Chamber of Commerce Albania-Serbia, in turn, is carrying out the necessary promotion for the Serbian companies to make possible an increased level of cooperation.
Earlier, two new partnerships were signed between Serbian and Albanian companies in the water supply sector and energy sector.
