The budget financed 400 investment contracts – 2019 / Over 600 million euros were spent, transport received the largest share
Nearly 75 billion or 604 million euros went for investments during 2019, with a realization of 82.8 percent in relation to the initial annual plan and 87.1 percent according to the last normative act. Referring to the data not reflected in the “Actual Budget 2019” sent for discussion in parliamentary committees, investment projects with internal financing have marked a realization in the amount of about 50.6 billion or 89 percent compared to the initial annual plan, while those with investments Foreign financing was realized in the amount of about ALL 23.5 billion or 72 percent in relation to the initial annual plan.
According to the Ministry of Finance, budget funds allocated for investments have affected sectors such as: Infrastructure, Energy, Education, Health, Tourism, Public Order and Safety, etc., where in total with the 2019 budget are financed and concluded about 400 investment contracts. The highest value is reached by 15 road transport contracts with about 7.7 billion ALL, followed by investments made in the sports facilities of 9-year and high schools with 2.8 billion ALL, in the water supply and sewerage system. While the differences in the implementation with the initial plan, according to the finances, are mainly related to the non-timely implementation of procurement procedures, despite the commitment of budgetary institutions.
