The Minister of Defense, Xhaçka confirms: Our troops will have a presence in Kosovo, Afghanistan, Latvia

Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka has reconfirmed Albania’s participation in all missions, where the Armed Forces are engaged. Xhaçka emphasized during the Ministerial Defense of 30 NATO member states, gathered for the second time online due to COVID-19 that “Albania confirms its presence in Kosovo, Afghanistan, Latvia and we are working on a common mission in Iraq within the framework of the Adriatic Charter, headed by our country.”

The Defense Minister proposed a special NATO focus on defense and deterrence in the southern wing of the Alliance, appreciating the crucial role that NATO has in defending the global order, based on common values, the Defense Minister said a united alliance and solidarity is the best response to any geopolitical rival.
