Over 30,000 tourists visited one of the Albania most beautiful national parks, Divjake-Karavasta by July, or 50% more than in 2016. Enea Zenuni, specialist of management at this park says for SCAN television that this has been made possible thanks to the investments made as the establishment of the visitors center also thanks to the “Natura 2000” project where they can receive various services versus a modest payment.
According to Zenun, visitors there can go on boats or bicycles with a charge of ALL 200, while there is no fee for entering the park. Regarding the revenues according to the specialist, they are used for investments as it’s the last one to set up a 12-storey tower for the national park survey.
Only in July the park was visited by 12,000 foreign tourists mainly from France, Germany, Belgium, the United States, Poland and the Czech Republic. The Divjaka – Karavasta National Park with an area of over 22 thousand ha, has been selected as one of the 5 primary protected areas in our country.
