The state blocks the assets of 31,500 businesses – The “black list” of taxes / The number of “debtors” increases in 6 months

About 31,500 businesses in the country have “suffered”, as their real estate and movable assets have been blocked by the tax administration, because they have not paid the obligations set by law. According to the data of the General Directorate of Taxes, by the end of June there are specifically 31 492 entities, against whom the measure of security or mortgage burden has been imposed by the tax administration.

Establishing a security or mortgage lien is one of the forms of forced debt collection by this institution. Businesses published in the Tax list cannot conduct any transaction on their assets until the tax liability is paid.

The list of taxes shows that it is not just about debts newly accumulated by entities, but a good part of them date back over 10 years ago.
