The structure of the CEC is approved – Debate on the salary of the Deputy Commissioner and the directorate that will handle the emigrants’ vote

The Parliamentary Committee on Laws on Wednesday approved the new structure of the Central Election Commission. The new CEC will have 85 full-time employees, while Celibashi had requested that their number be more than 90. The debates of the deputies focused on the new structure within the Election Commission that will handle the immigrants’ votes, as well as the salary of the Deputy Commissioner, who will be a representative of the opposition.

The Law Commission left open the possibility of increasing the CEC staff in case such a need arises with the approach of the April 25 elections.
