Transport data for November also confirm the good moment that foreign trade is going through, after the severe crisis caused by the pandemic. Thus, the volume of goods loaded / unloaded at ports in November 2020 is 426 thousand tons, increasing by 32% compared to November a year ago. In the 11-month period of this year, meanwhile, the volume of goods loaded / unloaded at ports is 3.9 million tons, decreasing by 4.4%, compared to the same period a year ago.
These data come just days after those of foreign trade, which spoke of a turnaround, both in imports and exports, in November, with double-digit growth compared to last year. In terms of exports of goods, increases during November are known as those transported by sea, air and land, with the latter recording the largest increase, at about 13% in value, according to Instat figures. In terms of imports, meanwhile, sea and road are on the rise, while air freight has fallen sharply. Even for imports, road transport records the largest increase in value.
