Trade exchanges: Turkey becomes second biggest exporter to Albania ranking behind Italy
In January 2018, Albania has seen a significant increase in imports from Turkey, which have overcome imports from China.
The figures show that Turkey has become the second biggest exporter to Albania, overcoming Greece and ranking behind Italy which leads with ALL 11 billion and 749 million.
Referring to INSTAT data, Albania imported from Turkey goods worth ALL 3 billion and 855 million, recording an increase of ALL 1.1 billion compared with January 2017.
Differently from the situation with the imports, Albania’s exports to Turkey have dropped by ALL 3 million.
Exports to Turkey in January 2018 were in the amount of ALL 104 million, from Lek 107 million in January 2017.
Meanwhile, Albania imported from China some 3 billion 822 million ALL in goods, 436 million more than in January 2017.
Of the EU non-member countries, Turkey holds the first place in the list of exporters to Albania.
